The Importance of Emergency Dental Services
Emergencies happen. And this rule applies to your teeth and gums as much as any other part of your body. A dental accident, injury, or another kind of urgent matter can happen at any hour of the day, sometimes even when we least expect it.
However, most dental offices maintain typical 9-5 weekday hours. So, what happens if you have an emergency dental need outside of those hours? The good news is that you have a few options.
The emergency room is an option for anyone experiencing a highly important and time-sensitive dental issue.
However, this should be viewed as a last resort. Instead, you should seek urgent care services if possible. Take a look in your area or the surrounding towns to see if there’s an urgent care center within a reasonable distance from you. There may even be a specialty dental emergency clinic that you can utilize!
If you can’t find any of these centers within a moderate distance, then an emergency room visit may be warranted.
